First UMC, South Portland, ME 

        The South Portland Adult Respite Care, a program that is unique in its geographical area, provides adult day care for persons effected by Alzheimers and other dementia related illnesses. It emphasizes mental, physical, and social stimulation with low-paced physical activity. It provides support for the care giver and education in the community about the needs of persons/families living with these conditions. This program not only offers hope in the lives of the families it serves, buy it also reaches out to others with the message of the Gospel of Christ.

St. Paul's UMC, New Bedford, MA

The St. Paul's After-School Enrichment program provides a safe, innovative learning environment for students that is interactive, fun, and educational. The program is essentially a tutoring program for fourth, fifth, and sixth graders which uses a question and answer format, almost like the TV show Jeopardy. This affirming and self-esteem building event encourages children to see their value and worth, while enabling them to make positive choices that will lead to a more productive life.

 Morgan Memorial UMC, Boston, MA

      A multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, and multi-racial after-school program that combines the use of both intellectual and social skills through singing, dancing, and musical instruments. Children ranging in ages from 5-12 are provide the opportunity to develop crucial values and foundational social skills in a fun atmosphere of learning, creativity, and instruction.

   Exeter UMC, Exeter, NH

          

            Provides a Christian After-School Program for 30 children grades 1-4 in both Exeter and surrounding towns. This meaningful program will stress areas such as drama, reading, music, crafts, and others as determined by staff. 

 

Lawrence UMC, Lawrence, MA

      The "Fuente de Suerte Project" is a part of a collaboration of programs that help bring church and community together and vary from nature education, to dance groups and youth athletic teams, to health care and prevention.  These program help guide children and youth in a positive manner and assist families in a better understanding of their role as citizens of the city.
